What's Happening in Weston This Weekend

WESTON, Conn. — A farmers market, spring plant sale, jazz concert and book sale are some of the events in and around Weston this weekend.

Friday, May 18

Friends of the Library Book Sale: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Easton Public Library, 691 Morehouse Road, Easton.

Saturday, May 19

Norfield Grange Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local farmers, bakers, craftspeople and more offer locally grown and created items. The event takes place at 12 Good Hill Road, Weston.

Greens Farms Garden Club Plant Sale: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Locally grown perennials, garden plants, roses and more will available at the plant sale that will be held at the gazebo on the green in Fairfield.

Celebrate the Growing Season at New Pond Farms: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sample farm activities, see farm animals, enjoy toe-tapping fiddle music and a delicious lunch and try your hand at natural crafts. Admission is $5 per person and $20 for a family. The event takes place at New Pond Farm, 101 Marchant Road, West Redding.

Friends of the Library Book Sale: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Easton Public Library, 691 Morehouse Road, Easton.

Sunday, May 20

Presevation Hall Jazz Band: 8 p.m. The foot-stomping New Orleans style sounds of the Preservation Hall Jazz Band can be heard in a Sunday night concert that will be preceded by a free wine and cheese tasting that starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 and $50. The event takes place at the Ridgefield Playhouse, 80 East Ridge, Ridgefield.
