EASTON, Conn. The Memorial Day Mile dash, the Memorial Day parade and the fair in Weston are the key holiday events in and near Easton this weekend. Saturday, May 26
Memorial Day Weekend 5K Road Race: 08:30 a.m. The 5K race and a Kids Fun Run at 8 a.m. kick off the Memorial Day festivities in Weston. Cash prizes for the top three 5K finishers and awards for the top three finishers in all age groups. Race starts and finishes at Weston High School, School Road, Weston.
Weston Football Team Car Wash: 10 a.m. 2 p.m. The Weston High School Football team will host its annual car wash with free washes available and donations accepted. Complimentary hot dogs and soda courtesy of Johnnys Roadside Grill. St. Francis of Assisi Church, 35 Norfield Road, Weston.
Memorial Day Fair: 12:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m. Exciting rides, the Dunk Booth, delicious food and presentations by community groups make this years Memorial Day Fair fun for the whole family. Hurlbutt Elementary School, 9 School Road, Weston.

Aspetuck Land Trust Hike: 9 a.m. 12:00 p.m. A CT Audubon Society biologist leads the hike that focuses on bird species in the Trout Brook Valley. The walk will take place in the orchard with views to Long Island Sound. Trout Brook Valley Orchard, Freeborn Road entrance, Easton.

Annual Easton Mile Dash: 9 a.m. Run a mile from the Easton fire house down Center Road to the Town Hall.
Easton Memorial Day Parade: 9:30 a.m. Eastons American Legion parade will feature performances by the Middle School band and a horse group. The parade starts at the fire house and proceeds down Center Road, Easton.

Jim Fixx Memorial Day 5-Mile run. The 5K run and a kids ½ mile run are the featured events. 5 mile race takes place in downtown Greenwich, kids run at Havemeyer track.
