Maurice Sendak Honored at Weston Library

WESTON, CONN. -- Maurice Sendak, the children's book artist who lived in Ridgefield and died in early May, will be honored in a program at the Weston Library at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The program will be hosted by Mort Schindel, the filmmaker who created films of Sendak's books, including "Where the Wild Things Are" and "In The Night Kitchen."

Screenings of the films, a biographical film on Sendak and his work and a discussion led by Schindel will be featured at Sunday's program.

 

Admission is free.
