Library Eases Check-Out Policies

You can hold on to your movies and books just a little longer, thanks to a new library policy put in place this month. Weston Library Director, Jane Atkinson, said the new rules are more generous to library-goers.

Movies, discount museum passes and magazines may now be checked out for seven days (with no renewal), giving you four more days than the original policy allowed. New books may be checked out for 14 days, allowing a one time removal and regular books and audio tapes can be borrowed for 21 days with two renewals, which can be made at the library or online.

Atkinson said the policy change is a result of all Bibliomation libraries, which have an online cataloging system, aligning their policies.
