Career Coach Making Return Trip

It's baaaaack. The Career Coach returns to Westport. Director of Human Services Barbara Butler announced the mobile CTWorks education and training center will once again set up shop at Town Hall on Tuesday, Aug. 17.

Butler said in a release she hopes residents who want to improve their computer skills will find the Career Coach useful. It is equipped with 10 wireless computer labs and offers free classes to residents in the greater Norwalk area. During the upcoming visit the Coach will offer a beginner and an intermediate level course on 2003 Microsoft Word. The starter course will run 10 a.m. to noon, while the slightly more advanced offering is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m.

Also available inside the mobile career center are fax machines and phones and other amenities to help job seekers access services and job searches.

To register, contact the Westport Department of Human Services at (203) 341-1050 or via email at humansrv@westportct.gov. The department can provide more detailed information on the courses being offered. Information about CTWorks career development options and the Career Coach schedule are available at www.ctworkssw.org.
