A Shinnecock Place resident spotted two suspects breaking into a car in the driveway Wednesday at about 11:30 p.m., Detective Carl Filsinger said. The suspects got away without taking any items from the car.
Filsinger advised all Weston residents to lock their cars, remove valuables and use alarms or motion-sensor lights outside their homes for security.
"We have had unlocked cars entered throughout the summer," he wrote in his e-watch e-mail alerts, referring to several break-ins while the cars were parked in home driveways. "GPS, cell phones, cash and credit cards are being targeted."
