WESTPORT, Conn. – Ten of 15 runners from Westport finished Monday’s Boston Marathon before the race ended due to explosions near the finish line. Four other runners from Westport crossed the halfway point but did not finish, according to the race website.
Westport runners who finished were Blake Benke, Jeff Clachko, Carol Clark, David Keenan, Kenneth Klegar, Alan Martin, Jason Martin, Kathy Muro, William Pitt and Matthew Spiegel.
Even Berkley, Richard Garland, Christine Riniti and Carter Weil made it through the halfway point. They were apparently on the course when the race was halted.
