Take a Holiday Trip Back in Time, Eastonites

EASTON, Conn. – Residents can get in the holiday spirit at the Historical Society of Easton's Holiday Open House on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.

Early 20th century holiday cards from the society's collection will be on display in the Adams School House.  Children and their families are invited to stop by for hot cider and sweet treats. Carolers from Joel Barlow High School will close the holiday celebration with a concert from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The historic, one-room Adams School House, built in 1854 and located at  345 Westport Road, will be decorated for the holidays. Visitors will experience what it was like to attend school over a century ago.

The society invites guests to continue the festivities at the Easton Public Library at 4 p.m. for a tree lighting and refreshments. In the season of helping others, consider bringing a non-perishable or canned item.
