The factory-owned showroom has been Connecticut’s only source for new Steinway pianos since 2003. It will close at the end of the year and reopen at a later date in a soon-to-be-announced location.
To liquidate inventory, the gallery will host a two-day sale offering substantial discounts on all Steinway and Steinway-designed Boston and Essex pianos in stock, the company announced.
Inventory is limited. The hours for the sale are:
- Friday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Steinway pianos are rarely discounted, but in order to liquidate inventory before the showroom is relocated, they will be sold at thousands below retail pricing.
“We have a limited but very beautiful inventory of Steinway grands and uprights as well as Boston and Essex pianos for varying budgets,” said Dan Miceli Sr., retail director for Steinway & Sons. “The rare reductions on these pianos stem from the fact that we would rather see the pianos in homes, studios, and schools than have to place them in storage before they are moved to our new location. This is a special opportunity; I encourage buyers to make a selection appointment today. The pianos will not last long at these prices.”
