Stamford Motorist Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Parking Meter In Greenwich, Police Say
A motorist is facing DWI charges after crashing his vehicle into a Greenwich parking meter, police say. Greenwich Police stopped a vehicle on East Putnam Avenue that was driving erratically and had sustained significant damage to the front end on Sunday, Feb. 10 around 2 a.m. Officers say the vehicle did not stop for about 100 yards. Police asked the driver, 46-year-old Victor Manuel Martinez-Flores of Stamford, to perform field sobriety tests, and none were performed to standard.
