120 Firefighters Battle Massive Blaze At Business In Bethel
More than 100 firefighters responded to a blaze that broke out in a Bethel business. Approximately 120 firefighters from multiple municipalities in Fairfield and Litchfield counties were dispatched at approximately 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, to the blaze at an adhesive tape company on Francis J. Clarke Circle Business Park. The fire raged for several hours, with crews battling to get inside the building. Two Injured In Head-On Crash Near Target In Bethel
BETHEL, Conn. — Two people were taken to Danbury Hospital after a two-car crash on Route 6 in front of Target in Bethel on Saturday morning, according to a Facebook post from the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company. At 11:45 a.m., Stony Hill Fire & EMS were dispatched to Route 6 in front of Target for the two-car accident, the post said. Two cars sustained heavy front-end damage after a head-on crash on the busy road, the post said. The two people who were sent to Danbury Hospital suffered non-life-threatening injuries, the post said. The roadway was briefly closed after the crash.

Stony Hill Firefighters Find High Level Of Carbon Monoxide In Bethel Home
BETHEL, Conn. — Firefighters responding to a carbon monoxide alarm found very high levels of the deadly gas inside a home on Adams Drive in Bethel early Tuesday, according to a Facebook post from the Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company. Rescue 2 responded to the home off Route 6 at 4:50 a.m. and found dangerous levels of carbon monoxide due to a faulty furnace, the Facebook post said.
