Former CT Physician Pays $300K To Settle False Claims Act Allegations A former physician in Connecticut has reached an agreement with the federal government to pay $300,000 for issuing and approving invalid prescriptions. Philippe Chain agreed to the civil settlement to resolve the allegations that he violated the False Claims Act, U.S. Attorney John Durham said.
