CT Man Caught With Handgun, Pot In I-84 NY Stop, Sheriff Says A man from Connecticut is facing drug and weapon charges after being busted with an illegal handgun during an early morning stop on I-84 in Putnam County. Benjamin Hartley, of Mansfield, was stopped by a Putnam County Sheriff’s deputy at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30 when he committed a traffic violation on the interstate while traveling through Southeast. 
During the stop, it was determined that Hartley, 33, was in possession of concentrated cannabis, marijuana and a handgun that he did not have a permit for. Hartley was arrested at the scene and transported to the Putnam Co…
