Area High School Teacher Wins $15K Leadership Award
A high school special education teacher from Connecticut has won a prestigious $15,000 leadership award. Kelsey LaPrad of Stamford, who teaches at Brien McMahon High School n Norwalk, received the grant as part of the Nellie Mae Education Foundation’s Lawrence W. O’Toole Leadership Awards. A total of 13 teachers across the region are being honored for their leadership. LaPrad provides students with intellectual disabilities and autism with real-world learning experiences. Trumbull's Kennedy Center Names Shelton Man As New President/CEO
TRUMBULL, Conn. — The Kennedy Center has a new president and CEO — Richard Sebastian Jr. of Shelton. Sebastian has been appointed effective Jan. 2. He succeeds Martin Schwartz of Trumbull, who is retiring after nearly 40 years of service.
