Longtime Firefighter, Baseball Coach Born In Greenwich Dies A beloved firefighter, baseball coach, and Navy veteran from Northern Westchester is being remembered for his longstanding dedication to helping his community.  Banksville resident Preston Pratley died on Monday, May 27 at the age of 79, according to his obituary.  Born in 1944, Pratley was born in Greenwich and later moved to Banksville after marrying his wife, Geraldine Kerslake, in May 1968.  A graduate of St. Mary's High School in Greenwich, Pratley was a Navy veteran who also became a proud member of Local #38, Sheet Metal Workers.  He was also…

Ex-Restaurant Owner From Redding Admits To Fraud Charge The former owner and operator of an upscale Northern Westchester restaurant admitted to wire fraud in connection with her multi-year scheme to defraud the restaurant’s lenders, mortgagee, bankruptcy creditors, and customers, authorities announced. Missing Endangered Woman, 23, Located At Store In Greenwich Police agencies in Westchester teamed together to help locate a missing endangered woman in Greenwich. North Castle Police Sgt. Regen Hufnagle was called to Finch’s Country Market in Banksville shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, to assist Mount Pleasant Police Department in locating the missing woman. Police said that the 23-year-old woman, who was described as “endangered,” was believed to be with a 25-year-old man in Banksville. The two were reportedly driving in a gray 2006 Audi A4.
