Man Sentenced For Sexually Abusing Minor In Fairfield County
A Fairfield County man will spend time behind bars after pleading guilty to having sexual contact with his girlfriend’s daughter when she was 12. Adam Besaw, of Shelton, pleaded guilty this week under the Alford doctrine to second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor for his role in an incident with the girl, which reportedly lasted until she was 14. An Alford plea is a guilty plea in criminal court, where the defendant doesn’t fully agree with the charges being levied against him.
