Author of 19 books, senior writer for Global Golf Post and a former writer and reporter at Sports Illustrated, Steinbreder will also share a rare behind-the-scenes look at this year’s Masters Golf Tournament, which he will be covering for Masters.com.

Steinbreder’s newest book blends the most interesting locales around the world with the finest courses. From almost two decades of traveling, he commends golf as “a way of encouraging terrific camaraderie no matter what the locale,” stopping along the way to note the succulent roasted lamb in Marrakesh or a specific brew at a Dublin pub while discussing the design and challenges of courses globally.

Writing professionally since 1978, Steinbreder has worked for Time Inc., first as a reporter for Fortune magazine and then as a writer-reporter for Sports Illustrated. Golf became his focus when he became a senior writer for Golfweek in 1999. In the fall of 2009, he became a member of the original staff of Global Golf Post. Over the years, Steinbreder has reported on the game from five continents and been honored 10 times by the Golf Writers Association of America for his work and by the International Network of Golf on 15 occasions.
