Monroe's Masuk High Students Get Lessons In Careers

MONROE, Conn. — The annual Career Day program will be held at Masuk High School in Monroe on Thursday.

About 600 students from all grade levels will attend the morning program. Students will attend according to scheduled classes.Students not in one of those classes may pick up an individual pass from the guidance office and have it approved by one of their teachers. 

More than 50 career fields will be represented, including those that can be entered immediately after high school graduation all the way to those careers requiring graduate school education. 

The careers will be grouped in the following clusters as defined by the state Department of Labor and Education: arts and media, business and finance, construction technologies and design, environmental natural resources and agriculture, government, education and human services, health and biosciences and retail and tourism, recreation, manufacturer, communication and repair.
