Fairfield County School Districts Announce Closures, Delays After Storm

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. — After an overnight rain storm caused numerous power outages across Fairfield County, a number of school districts announced delayed openings or closures for Thursday.

The following school districts are closed Thursday:

  • Monroe 
  • New Canaan
  • New Fairfield 
  • Newtown 
  • Ridgefield
  • Westport 

The following school districts are holding a delayed opening on Thurday:

  • Greenwich 
  • Sherman 
  • Weston
