The agreement is for ten years and instantly lessens the 13.5 percent discount residents of Trumbull had to 8 percent, then 1 percent per year after that, said the Connecticut Post.
There won't be a discount in the contract's last two years, though it can be extended to three more years, reported the Connecticut Post.
At the same time, Trumbull may look into other ways to flush the town's waste, the Connecticut Post said.
