Selectman Leon Karvelis and First Selectman Julia Pemberton made it known at Monday's meeting that taking more state support into account could result in a "negative or flat budget," said the Redding Pilot.

“This does not include some state aid offsets,” Pemberton told the Redding Pilot, “so, [the budget request] could potentially become negative when we look at the revenue side.”

At the start of the meeting the Board of Selectmen initially was going to ask for a half percent increase, said the Redding Pilot.
