Sarah Chiarelli, 37, was also ordered to serve 200 hours of community service.
Chiarelli previously pleaded no contest to first-degree larceny for stealing $45,039 from the PTO. She used the money for a Disney World vacation, groceries, her children's hockey events and other expenses, the story said. She has made full restitution.
Many Monroe parents were upset at the sentence, the story said, and pushed the judge for a prison sentence. Click here to read the CTPost.com story.
