Monroe First Selectman Steve Vavrek Looks Ahead

MONROE, Conn. -- First Selectman Steve Vavrek intends to address the negatives of living in Monroe while focusing on the positives during his new term, reports the Monroe Courier,.

According to the Monroe Courier, Vavrek aims to maintain positive personal dealings within the community the next two years.

Vavrek said he was taken aback by the negative talk and behavior that surfaced during the campaign relating to land use proceedings, the story said. 

Vavrek has met with Congressman Jim Himes to work on securing resources for infrastructure improvements and improvements to the Route 25-Route 111 area.
