MONROE, Conn. — The office of the Town Clerk in Monroe is offering extended hours for absentee ballots for those who qualify.

The hours are as follows:

  • Thursday, April 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 23, from 9-11 a.m.

Connecticut's presidential primary is Tuesday, April 26. Only voters enrolled in a political party may take part.

Absentee voting is a two-step process. An application for a ballot must be signed and filed with the Town Clerk before a ballot can be issued.

Applications are available at the Town Clerk's Office on Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. 

Applications can be downloaded from the Town Clerk's home page and sent to the Town Clerk at 7 Fan Hill Road, Monroe.
