Easton To Address Proposed $43.7M Budget At Annual Town Meeting

EASTON, Conn. — The Easton Annual Town Meeting will be held Monday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Samuel Staples Elementary School, 515 Morehouse Road.

The following items will be discussed, according to an agenda at the town website:

  • Acceptance of the 2015 annual town report.
  • Discussion of the proposed annual town budget of $43,731,261 for the fiscal year 2016-17 as recommended by the Board of Finance. The Town Meeting may act to reduce, but not increase, the proposed annual town budget.
  • Acceptance of the five-year capital project plan.
  • Setting July 1, 2016, to Jan. 2, 2017, for the 2015 grand list bills.
The Annual Town Meeting will adjourn for a machine vote on the budget to be held on Tuesday, May 3, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Samuel Staples Elementary School.
