Although both cars were unlocked, Redding police said the incident adds to a recent rise in burglaries and larcenies that began last November in the town, said the Redding Pilot.

Police said the only missing item from the cars was a GPS unit, the Redding Pilot said. They are reminding residents to lock their cars and homes, added the Redding Pilot.
