Trumbull Police Establish School Resource Officer At Trumbull High School

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- The Trumbull Police Department announced that it is establishing a School Resource Officer program in the Trumbull High School this year.

Officer Blake Petty has been chosen as the Trumbull High School SRO. Petty recently graduated from a national SRO training program in August and has been a member of the Trumbull Police Department for eight years. He has been a Field Training Officer for the Department since September of 2014 and a member of the Police Bicycle Patrol Team since September of 2015.

Petty graduated from Fairfield University, with honors, in 2006 and has begun his Master’s Degree studies with American University.

“I’m eager to help develop a partnership between the school and public service; where I hope we can facilitate an environment for students to be successful," Petty said.
