TRUMBULL, Conn. — A bus from Trumbull High School was briefly detained Friday afternoon as a precaution while police investigated a possible threat of a weapon, police said. The driver stopped the bus on Highgate Road after hearing a conversation that included the mention of a weapon, police said.
He pulled the bus over, and the police department was notified as a precautionary measure, police said.
After interviewing the student and determining that there was no threat of a weapon, the bus was allowed to continue transporting the students home, police said.
School Resource Officer Scott Duva followed the bus during the rest of the route.
