MONROE, Conn. -- Midge Saglimbene, owner of a religious store in Monroe, can't believe that someone would steal a statue of Jesus, according to the ctpost.com.

But that's what happened overnight Oct. 27 at the Angels & Company store on Main Street in Monroe, said the ctpost.com.

Saying she was in shock, all Saglimbene wants is for the $600 statute to be returned, reported the ctpost.com.

Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious near the store or knows anything about the theft to call the department at 203-261-3622 or call the tip-line at 203-452-2839.
