Police had issued a Silver Alert for 65-year-old Beverly Bisch on Tuesday after she had been missing for a week. She had last been seen on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Bridgeport Railroad Station after being dropped off by a friend, police said. She was on her way to New York City to visit an acquaintance.
Police said Wednesday that through the use of the state's Silver Alert System, Bisch was located safe and unharmed in New York City, with the assistance of the Connecticut State Police and the NYPD. Police notified her family and canceled the alert.
