Redding Woman Charged With Operating Unlicensed Dog Kennel

REDDING, Conn. -- A 49-year-old Redding woman is facing charges relating to operating a dog kennel without a license after a police investigation into a report that a dog was killed at her house by her own dog, according to the Redding Pilot.

Kathryn Stergue, of Redding Road, turned herself in to authorities on Aug. 4, the Redding Pilot said. Police had a warrant for her arrest on charges of cruelty to animals and operating a kennel without a license, among other charges, the Redding Pilot reported.

After investigating the dog's death, police determined that she was running some type of dog care facility out of her home, the Redding Pilot said.
