Police said the burglaries could be the result of a person, or group of people, getting out of jail and committing the crimes, said the Redding Pilot.
Police Chief Douglas Fuchs said the town usually averages about 10 burglaries a year, said the Redding Pilot. Most of the incidents have shown no sign of forced entry, Fuchs said, implying some of the homes may have been unlocked, the Redding Post added.
