Norwalk Man Charged With Assaulting Girlfriend Outside Trumbull Cinemas

TRUMBULL, Conn. -- A Norwalk man was arrested on charges of beating up his girlfriend in the parking lot of the Bw Tie Cinemas in Trumbull on Wednesday, April 13, according to the Trumbull Times.

Police said Raheim Coverson, 30, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, criminal violation of a protective order and third-degree assault after slamming his girlfriend to the pavement and striking her in the face while holding her down, said the Trumbull Times.

Officers responded after Coverson called police and said a woman was trying to stab him, the Time said, but witnesses said he had beaten the woman and that she had not attacked him.
