Monroe Police Charge Pair With Shoplifting, Drug Possession

MONROE, Conn. – Two Monroe men were charged with larceny and drug possession after they were apprehended in a shoplifting case, according to the Connecticut Post.

Nicholas Ludwig, 20, of Monroe, and Patrick Leite-Jesus, 19, of Shelton, were pulled over on Route 111 on Wednesday, Dec. 23, by a police officer investigating a report of shoplifting at a gas station on Route 34, the Post reported.

A search of Ludwig’s vehicle turned up drugs and a large amount of cash, police told the Post. Both were charged with sixth-degree larceny/shoplifting, drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Ludwig was also charged with driving under the influence, the Post reported.
