Officers from the Westport Police Department responded to an area home shortly after 10:45 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, where there was a report of a disturbance that required medical evaluation.

Police said upon arrival, officers determined that a verbal argument had taken place in the home, which escalated and led to Westport resident Timothy Lester striking his victim in the head with a “heavy pillow.”

The force of the strike reportedly caused injuries, police said.

Officers investigating the incident arrested Lester, who was charged with third-degree assault of an elderly person and disorderly conduct.

Lester posted $1,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court this week to respond to the charges.
