Robert Kyle, 34, was also charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license after he was stopped by the officer, who said he smelled alcohol on Kyle's breath. During the stop, Kyle told the officer he had consumed two beers, and when asked for his driver's license, he gave the officer his Home Depot credit card, said the Trumbull Times.

The Branford man failed several field sobriety tests and was reported to have a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent. After being arrested Kyle, changed his story and told officers he had consumed two shots of liquor and had four beers. He had been charged with DUI in November in Norwalk and had his license suspended in that case, which is still pending, added the Trumbull Times.
