Superior Court Judge Robert Devlin agreed to continue the case until March 28. Navin, 27, pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, and one count of murder under special circumstances.
His parents, Jeanette and Jeffrey Navin of Easton, had been missing since August, and their remains were found in October in a yard in Weston. Prosecutors said Navin was addicted to heroin and owed his parents money.
His girlfriend Jennifer Valiante, 31, of Westport in facing conspiracy and hindering prosecution charges in the case for what prosecutors said was her effort to help Navin. He is being held on $2.5 million bond and she is held on $2 million.
Navin's lawyer, Eugene Riccio, left the brief hearing Wednesday in the Main Street courthouse in Bridgeport without commenting on the case. Navin also appeared at the hearing, the CTpost reports.
