The homeowner, Graham Lamb, 59, was issued a misdemeanor summons.
The party was reported at 11:15 p.m. about the party at 48 Norton Road.
Upon arrival, officers saw many vehicles parked on the street as well as numerous youths who were holding bottles and cans that were immediately recognized as alcoholic beverages, police said.
When the police arrived, the officers heard several individuals yell, "It’s the cops, run," police said.
Officers also saw open cases of beer in the yard, including individual beer bottles and cans that were strewn throughout the property, police said.
Lamb told the officers that he knew about the party but had stayed inside and had not realize how big it had become, police said. He also said that he was unaware there was alcohol, police said.
He was issued a misdemeanor summons for permitting minors to illegally possess liquor on private property or failing to halt such illegal possession.
He was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on July 11.
Also that night, an underage male attempting to drive away from the party got into his car with what appeared to be bottles of wine, police said.
He was stopped and officers seized five bottles of wine that were in plain view in the backseat, police said. He was given an Infraction for curfew restriction and possession of alcohol by a minor and released to his parents.
