Firefighters from the Nichols Fire Department and the Trumbull Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched to White Plains Road at around 8 a.m. Friday for a reported car fire. When they arrived, they quickly began stretching a car fire line to extinguish the blaze.
Firefighters overhauled the car to ensure the fire was out before it was removed by a towing company. Once cleanup was completed, the roadway was opened back up to traffic.
