Firefighters Clean Up Fluid Spill At Crash Scene In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, Conn. — Firefighters from the Nichols Fire Department responded to a fluid spill after a crash in Trumbull on Saturday afternoon, according to a Facebook post. Crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Nichols Avenue and Hawley Lane, near the Route 8 northbound and Merritt Parkway northbound entrance ramps.

Crews initially used the fire apparatus to block to crash scene to provide a safe work zone for EMS and police officers, the post said. 

Firefighters checked the cars for additional hazards while tending to the cleanup of the fluid spills.
