The fire broke out just before 1 a.m. at the house, which was being renovated and was not occupied at the time.
Around 30 volunteer firefighters from the Stevenson Volunteer Fire Company, Monroe Volunteer Fire Department and Stepney Fire Department worked to extinguish the fire. Stevenson Deputy Fire Chief John Howe directed the volunteers.
Additional tanker trucks from Sandy Hook Volunteer and Rescue, Oxford, and White Hills Fire Company were called due to a lack of fire hydrants in the area.
The home's interior and roof were destroyed, but the exterior stone walls remain intact.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
