Alex Mills, 32, was extradited from the Berkshire County Sheriff's Office in Pittsfield, Mass. this week on a warrant for failure to appear, police said. The warrant was issued on April 21, 2016. Mills was transported to the Easton Police Department on Tuesday by Connecticut States Attorney's Office police inspectors.

Police said Mills was given the chance to make arrangements for bail without success. He appeared at the Bridgeport courthouse on Wednesday.

Mills was found guilty in 2008 for DWI and second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, according to police. He was driving a car in a crash that resulted in the death of his friend, according to police. He was sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in prison.
