Fergason, dubbed "Easton’s chief resident zoologist," will be be a conservation officer for the state, the Courier said.
"We would like to take this opportunity to say good luck to one of our own. Officer Glen Fergason has accepted a position with the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection," the Easton Police Department said in a Facebook post. "Although we are sad to lose such a wonderfully dedicated officer, we are certainly happy to continue to work closely with our friend. Congratulations!
He has a bachelor's degree in zoology from Oklahoma State University and spent 10 years working at the Bronx Zoo before joining the Easton Police Department, the Courier said.
