Easton Farmer Recognized For 'Lifesaver' Help

EASTON, Conn. -- The owner of Silverman's Farm in Easton was honored Monday by the Easton Police Commission at its monthly meeting.

Irv Silverman was recognized by Police Chief Tim Shaw and commission members for promoting the Project Lifesaver Initiative in Easton through his business, according to police on the department's Facebook page.

Silverman also collected donations from farm patrons for the program throughout the fall season.

Project Lifesaver provides a timely response to save lives and reduce potential injury for adults and children who wander due to Alzheimer’s, autism, and similar disorders.
