The event, where members raise money to help fight and find cures for childhood cancer, was a great success and the department wanted to thank all of the residents and supporters who donated to the cause, Shaw said.

A special thanks goes to Officer Craig Tibbals, who took his support to the next level by shaving his head to help raise donations.

All donations go to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation -- www.StBaldricks.org -- a national organization that pays for research to find cures for childhood cancer.
