Car Slams Into Utility Pole Overnight In Trumbull

TRUMBULL, Conn. — A car slammed into a utility pole early Saturday on Daniels Farm Road in the area of Hedgehog Road, fire officials said.

The Trumbull Volunteer Fire Co. responded at about 3:10 a.m., along with the Trumbull Police Department and EMS.

The driver was out of the vehicle and treated by EMS. Fire units remained on scene until United Illuminating could shut off power at the heavily damaged pole. After the power was shut off, fire units cleared out, and the scene was left in the hands of police as repairs were made.
