REDDING, Conn. – Ruth Ackerman Nevers, of Redding, died on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at Masonicare of Newtown. She was 91.
Nevers was born in Patterson, N.J., to John and Rebecca Ackerman, working as a registered nurse for Vandoran Convalescent Home.
She was predeceased by her parents, and is survived by daughter Christina M. O'Neill of Middlebury, two sons; Jeffery of Bridgeport, and John of Flagstaff, Ariz., sister Betty A. Blasberg of Vermont, and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 3 p.m. at The United Congregational Church, located at 877 Park Ave. in Bridgeport.
