Portions of the Indian Ledge Park playground were deemed hazardous last summer by the Trumbull Department of Parks of Recreation after a routine inspection revealed rotting wood in its understructure, the Connecticut Post reported.

A playground bond for $250,000 was included in the town's $7 million capital plan for 2016, but removed by members of the Board of Finance outside the panel's regular meeting hours, said the Connecticut Post.
