Herbst, a Republican, says Musto, a Democrat, has been preparing sloppy and error-laden reports for the Board of Finance, reported the Connecticut Post. Musto says Herbst is not following policy when detailing his expenditures on a town-issued credit card, said the Connecticut Post.

Board of Finance Chairwoman Elaine Hammers agrees with Herbst, saying Musto, who was elected in November to the part-time position, has presented the board with reports with errors or doesn't have the correct information to present to the board, according to the Connecticut Post. Musto says he mistakenly presented the wrong information, said the Connecticut Post.

Herbst says all of his expenditures are allowable and city finance employees agree with him, added the Connecticut Post.
