Update: The truck has been cleared from the tracks, and trains were running through West Redding by late Monday afternoon.
REDDING, Conn. — With a truck stuck on the tracks near the West Redding station, train service on the Danbury Branch is experiencing delays of up to an hour Monday afternoon, a Metro-North spokesman said.
The problem began at about 1 p.m. Monday, he said. It was not known how long it would take to clear the tracks, he said.
The truck, an 18-wheeler, is stuck on the tracks at Long Ridge Road in Redding.
No injuries were reported and there was no collision or accident, he said.
Buses have been called for passengers in Danbury and Bethel to get around the problem.
